Our Story

Our story is a simple one

Our owner, Joshua Carin is also a passionate caterer in the Washington, D.C. area. (Today, in fact, he operates as a fully-green caterer.) A few years ago, Josh was catering a green event and quickly realized how difficult it was to find high-quality, compostable products. He ended up having to outsource plates from China, where they made them from the stalk of bamboo plants. The bamboo was special because it did not require the use of pesticides, herbicides or irrigation—only rainwater to help it grow.

After successfully catering a beautiful and eco-friendly event with bamboo, Josh continued to look for more sustainable products, but could not find them. He reached out to a local wholesaler and asked them to carry the products so he could use them more frequently but was told that there was not enough of a demand for that market.

Today, Josh sees an ever-increasing demand, and he has since begun his own eco-friendly product wholesale operation: Earth Friendly Hospitality. Never one to take “no” for an answer when he has the opportunity to make a positive impact, Josh is proud to continue his goal of helping to protect our planet.

Our products are fully compostable and go back to the Earth. They are made with the highest quality standards and beautiful bamboo. Our clients are advocates for our planet. They understand and support our mission, and absolutely love our products.
